LeoScorpioLeo Ltd/FORCE Fed
The philosophy reference: what FORCE Fed is, how it works, and how every brand uses it
Corporate Master v2.4 — 2026-09-27
This is the reference page for what F.O.R.C.E. Fed is and how it works. Use it as a refresher before writing anything for any LeoScorpioLeo brand. The source is James’s article (linked in Section 07); this page is the working summary of it.
Section 01
Focus · Own Yourself · Reinforce Yourself · Create Joy · Eat Something
| Pillar | In one line |
|---|---|
| F — Focus | Know where you are going. |
| O — Own Yourself | Know where you are. |
| R — Reinforce Yourself | Build a team that lifts you. |
| C — Create Joy | Choose joy on the journey. |
| E — Eat Something | Feed the machine that carries you there. |
FORCE Fed is a five-pillar personal development philosophy that James Hanyu Smith has developed since 2014. It draws on neuroscience, positive psychology, sports performance, contemplative traditions, military leadership, and entrepreneurship, and organizes them into one system anyone can practice. It’s meant to make sense to a sixteen-year-old and still hold up for a researcher.
“In my ninety-plus years, I have learned a secret. I have learned that when good men and good women face challenges with optimism, things will always work out!”— Gordon B. Hinckley, the article’s opening quote
Section 02
Follow One Course Until Successful · Your destination (Point B)
Choose one destination and pursue it with everything you have. Define success clearly and specifically. The clearer the picture, the better every decision and sacrifice lines up behind it. Without direction, no amount of self-knowledge, community, joy, or nutrition takes you anywhere.
“A fox who chases two rabbits will catch none.”
Voices: Stephen Covey (begin with the end in mind), Casey Neistat (no goal, no score), Locke & Latham (specific goals win), Tom Bilyeu
Know your Point A · Your honest starting point
Take an honest inventory of where you actually are: skills, knowledge, emotional resilience, health, money, relationships, unresolved wounds. It’s like checking the car before a road trip. Owning yourself isn’t a one-time event. As you grow and your goals change, you reassess.
“You cannot change what you refuse to see.”
Voices: Sun Tzu (know yourself), Shi Heng Yi, the Dalai Lama, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Taylor & Brown (self-deception research)
Choose your five · Your passengers, music, and route
You are an ecosystem. The people, media, and environments you take in shape who you become. The artist you listen to for three hours a day is one of your five closest influences. Take a deliberate inventory of your inputs and decide what stays and what goes. This isn’t about cruelty. Every “yes” to something that moves you forward is a “no” to something that holds you back.
“If there is no change, there is no change.”
Voices: Jim Rohn / Tim Ferriss (average of five), Jocko Willink (discipline equals freedom), Natalie Dawson (culture by design or default), Garrido et al. (group rumination)
Joy is a discipline · Enjoying the drive
Create Joy is not a command to be happy all the time. It isn’t toxic positivity or denial of pain. It’s the deliberate practice of finding, generating, and protecting joy in the middle of difficulty, especially then. Positive emotions widen attention and build resilience. They are performance enhancers, not luxuries. Build happiness into the journey instead of waiting for it at the end.
“Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured.” — Gordon B. Hinckley
Voices: Gordon B. Hinckley, Barbara Fredrickson (broaden-and-build), Rich Roll, Tony Robbins, Brooke Ence, Sasha DiGiulian
Feed the machine · The fuel
Your body isn’t separate from your mind. What you eat supplies the raw material for your thoughts, emotions, and actions. This is not a diet plan. It’s the recognition that your body is the engine that carries your dreams. Junk fuel gives junk performance, and quality fuel gives quality thoughts and quality work. In the businesses, this pillar also covers rest, safety, and a pace that doesn’t burn people out.
“No one gets healthier in the gym.” You break down there and rebuild through fuel and rest.
Voices: Zig Ziglar, Dr. Mark Hyman, Jacka et al. (SMILES trial), Firth et al., Rich Roll, Emily McDonald
Section 03
Focus is the destination. Own Yourself is the starting point and an honest check of the vehicle. Reinforce Yourself is the passengers, the music, and the route. Create Joy is enjoying the drive, because a miserable trip either ends early or arrives somewhere that no longer feels worth it. Eat Something is the fuel.
Focus comes before Own Yourself on purpose. If you take stock of where you are without a destination, it turns into wallowing, and wallowing leads to despair. The goal is the tether, the safety line. “It does not matter how well you are packed. If you do not go anywhere, you do not go anywhere.” Reinforce builds the support system for the trip. Create Joy makes it sustainable. Eat Something powers all of it.
Section 04
| FORCE Fed is… | FORCE Fed is not… |
|---|---|
| Honest, disciplined, joyful forward motion | Toxic positivity or denying pain |
| A counter-narrative to despair sold as identity | Pretending everything is fine |
| Universal. It works within any faith or none. | Tied to one religion, culture, or politics |
| A structure for getting back up | A promise of an easy life |
| Recognition that the body fuels the mind | A diet plan |
| Deliberately choosing your inputs | Cutting people off cruelly |
A Christian finds Focus in Proverbs 29:18 (“Where there is no vision, the people perish”). A Buddhist finds Own Yourself in Vipassana. A Stoic finds Reinforce Yourself in Marcus Aurelius. A secular humanist finds Eat Something in nutritional psychiatry. A Muslim finds the whole framework in niyyah, muhasaba, ummah, shukr, and care for the body. FORCE Fed doesn’t claim to have invented anything. It organizes timeless truths into a sequence anyone can start today.
“People are always more important than things.”
“If there is no change, there is no change.”
“The philosophy is free. The decision to begin is yours.”
Section 05
Every brand under LeoScorpioLeo Ltd has to show how F.O.R.C.E. Fed changes the way it works in its own industry. The philosophy isn’t there for decoration. Each brand has to use it to fix something customers in that industry actually complain about.
Across service and maintenance work, customers complain about the same four things. Every LeoScorpioLeo service brand is built to beat all four:
| # | Industry complaint | F.O.R.C.E. answer |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Lack of communication | Own Yourself: upfront quotes, proactive updates, no ghosting |
| 2 | Can’t adapt to newer technology | Reinforce Yourself: continuous learning and certification |
| 3 | Lack of dependability | Create Joy: on time, respectful, stress-free for the customer |
| 4 | Poor quality for the price | Focus: root-cause fixes, tested before hand-off |
| — | (Hidden cause of all four) Burnout | Eat Something: rest, safety, sustainable pace |
| Brand | Where FORCE Fed shows up |
|---|---|
| LeoScorpioLeo | Every listing carries the FORCE thread in its Hook, Gift Pitch, and sign-off. The customer wears the message. |
| Swag | Uniforms and gear carry the family’s shared identity into every workplace. |
| Tsugiwa | Focus built into the product: the whole day on one ring. |
| Notariety | Own Yourself through posted fees and confirmed appointments, and Create Joy through calm at high-stakes signings. |
| Kiko | Eat Something and Create Joy as a product line: natural wellness and energy. |
| Anshin | The full four-complaint table, pillar by pillar. This is the model for every service brand. |
Every brand page must answer: what it is, offerings, customer, business model, F.O.R.C.E. application, roadmap (phases with gates), synergy with the family, and SOPs.
Section 06
Besides being the philosophy behind every brand, FORCE Fed also produces media and, later, education.
